Happy October Friend,

Ah Autumn, (long pause) I’m so glad you are here.

Summer was extra hot this year. With landscaping work starting in my backyard many things took a back seat. I’m looking forward with joy to see a mess become usable and promising.

I do have some new paintings. Hey, look what I made!

It seems like half of my work starts off as impromptu abstract. Sometimes those paintings stay as is and sometimes they are a launching pad for more. Just a reminder, sometimes I make weird stuff that won’t be posted anywhere but here.

The other half might be prompted by a photo that I set aside to paint. It might be a spiritual download that needs to be developed into a visual language. These are works in progress.

The show “Mystery and Wonder” at the Center for Creative Leadership concluded in July. Five paintings went home with new owners. Yay! Two more sold a bit later.

You can find more information or to purchase art at JeanSmithArtist.com You might check out my new Prints page. A lot of the recent show is available as prints.

Till next time,

Jean
